Welcome to FileRun
FileRun is a file manager that runs on your own server. It gives your users a web interface for their files, with sharing, comments and metadata. The same files can be reached over WebDAV, from mobile apps, and from the desktop sync app.
Start here
- Install FileRun Set up a new installation. Check the requirements first, then follow either the Docker guide or the manual installation guide.
- Administer FileRun Create the user accounts, decide which files each of them can reach, and configure the system from the control panel.
- Use FileRun Work with files and folders, share them with other people, and connect from your own devices.

Before you follow any guide
This website describes the current FileRun version. Make sure you are running the latest version before you apply anything you read here to your installation.
To find out which version you have, sign in as superuser, open the control panel and check the
System → Update section.
