Mobile apps
Enabling
To be able to use the mobile apps with your FileRun installation you need to enable the API.
An SSL enabled web server is required. (Your FileRun URL needs to start with “https://
” and not “http://
”). (For testing only, you can temporarily enable the API via “http://
”. See “Testing without SSL”)
Please follow these steps:
- Login to the FileRun installation as superuser.
- Open the control panel.
- Select “API” from the menu.
- Select the “Enable API” checkbox.
- Click “Save Changes”.
Android App
Recommended WebDAV/Nextcloud compatible apps:
iOS App
- Open Safari on your IOS device.
- Input your address.
- Use
Add to Home screen

This will generate an Icon on your desktop, which feels like an app and works much better natively.

This is a guide on how to sync your notes from your various devices using FileRun as a server.
In Joplin's settings:
- Choose
WebDAV
as synchronization target.
Edit the WebDAV URL to match your FileRun installation URL. The ending Joplin
word is the name of the folder used for storing the notes data. You will need to create this folder in FileRun, under your FileRun home folder.
