Branding

Interface → Branding in the control panel sets the names, the logos, the texts and the links your users see. It has two tabs, Login page and User interface, and only the superuser can open it.

The colours are set elsewhere, under Interface → Theme; see Theme colors. For the icon in the browser tab, see Favicons, and for anything else, Custom CSS.

Login page

  • Title — a title on the sign-in page. Depending on your licence, the sign-in page may show the FileRun logo, with a "Powered by FileRun" link, in the place of this title.
  • Logo URL — the logo of the sign-in page, also used on the sign-up page. The value FileRun means the built-in FileRun logo.
  • Logo on top — places the logo at the top.
  • Page background image URL — a picture behind the sign-in page. It is also passed to the Nextcloud desktop and mobile apps, as part of your server's branding.
  • Welcome message — a text on the sign-in page. It is also the description of FileRun when a user installs it as an app from the browser.
  • Privacy policy URL, Impressum URL, Terms URL and Help URL — links shown on the sign-in page.

Every URL has to be absolute, starting with https://.

User interface

  • Application title — the name of the application, shown in the browser tab and in the e-mails FileRun sends. The default is FileRun.
  • Use title as logo — shows the application title as text, instead of a logo.
  • Logo URL — the logo of the interface. The recommended height is 38 pixels. The ONLYOFFICE editor and the Nextcloud apps show it too. The value FileRun means the built-in FileRun logo.
  • Enable browser favicons — shows an icon in the browser tab.
  • Help URL — the address of your own help or support page, offered to users in the interface.
  • Welcome message — a message shown to users in a window every time they open the interface. Leave it empty to show nothing.

To replace the favicon, put your own files in customizables/images/favicons, as Favicons describes. The folder that the help text of Enable browser favicons names is part of FileRun itself, and a software update replaces its contents.

Under a white-label licence, the built-in FileRun logo is not shown, and the interface shows the application title instead.
