Mobile apps

Enabling

Support for the mobile apps has been added starting with FileRun version 2016.04.25, released on April 25, 2016. If you are using an older version, you will need to update first.

To be able to use the mobile apps with your FileRun installation you need to enable the API (OAuth2).

A SSL enabled web server is required. (Your FileRun URL needs to start with “https://” and not “http://”). (For testing only, you can temporarily enable the API via “http://”. See “Testing without SSL”)

Please follow these steps:

  1. Login to the FileRun installation as superuser.
  2. Open the control panel.
  3. Select “API (OAuth2)” from the menu.
  4. Select the “Enable OAuth2” checkbox.
  5. Click “Save Changes”.

Optionally, if things don't work, access the “Clients” option under “API (OAuth2)” and make sure the “FileRun Mobile” entry is enabled.

Disabling

If for some reason you do not want your users to use the mobile apps to connect to the FileRun installation, follow these steps:

  1. Login to the FileRun installation as superuser.
  2. Open the control panel.
  3. Select “Clients” option under the “API (OAuth2)” item in the menu.
  4. Double-click the record with the “FileRun Mobile” name.
  5. Uncheck the “Enabled” option under “Basic details”
  6. Click “Save changes”.
